This is a 4 ply crochet pattern for a Madison – a cute ballerina doll. The toy has moveable joints that enable it to sit or lay flat – making it perfect as a comfort toy.
The doll is approximately 43 cm high when standing and 28 cm when sitting, although the sizes may vary depending on the yarn you use to make your doll.
The pattern is suitable for anyone who has some experience with crochet, you will need to know how to make a chain, do single crochet stitches, increase and decrease using single crochet and work a magic ring. The pattern will be instantly available to download as soon as your payment is processed.
Description
With this crochet pattern, you will be able to make these cute ballerina dolls. I used cotton yarn in 4 ply and three sizes of crochet hook (1.75mm, 2.00mm & 2.50mm) to design this pattern and recommend that you use polyester fibre fill to stuff the doll. To make these dolls you will need:
• 100 grams of 4 Ply cotton yarn in skin tone, 50 grams of pink and a small amount of white
• 100 grams of 4-ply cotton in your choice of hair colour for the wig
• 12cm length of 12.5mm wide dowel (for neck)
• Crochet hooks in sizes 1.75mm, 2.00mm & 2.50mm or size to suit your individual tension.
• Wooden beads 2 x 16mm, 2 x 20mm, & 2 x 30mm
• 1 pair 12-14mm safety eyes
• Fine Plastic Sheeting
• Hobbyfil or similar
• Polyester wadding (narrow strip)
• Knitters sewing needle (very few seams – thumbs and neck) but you will need one to tidy up the ends)
