This Crochet Couronne /Coronet was seen on ravelry and was a pattern in a copy of the “Australian Women’s Weekly” published in 1942. The pattern was crocheted in Macrame string and / or parcel string. This was such an appealing pattern, very Chic yet cute, that I decided to create my version, as everything old is new again. My version is made in 8 ply Heirloom Cotton, 2, 50 gram balls or 240 metres using 4 mm US 6/G crochet hook. The pattern is in one piece and is not at all difficult. The only stitches used are tr / U.S dc, sl st and a forward post treble/US double crochet. If you are a novice crocheter you will be able to view the various crochet stitches under the “Learn to Crochet” and/or “Pattern Help” videos on the Menu Bar. The Forward post treble / US dc is explained in the pattern
All patterns include both English and U.S crochet pattern terminology.
